Magical Tattoos

There are a number of magical tattoos and marks. The most common sort are tattoos that have been imbued with a spell of some type. The method to create them is commonly known among demons, but not among humans. They take a large amount of time as well as mana to create, and are often reported to be much more painful then a normal tattoo.

The other form of  magical tattoo is the symbol of a demon household, an aradan or demon mark. These marks show up when a person is taken as an aradan, and symbolizes a individual's connection to a particular demon. Though commonly non-aradan members of a demon house will have a regular tattoo of the aradan's mark. These marks typically  have gem like or metallic qualities to them. Aradan who switch from one demon to another, for whatever reason, bear a blackened mark of their former allegiance.  For each aradan a demon has they will have a reciprocal mark of some sort, greater demons with many aradan can become armoured from the number of marks. When an aradan dies however, that mark blackens.
