Shedim
A demonic servitor race. These imp-like creatures are wholly malevolent, spawned by feelings of many people with a deep desire for revenge against a single thing or person. No more then three feet tall, they resemble a deformed child, with a large head, big eyes, child like face, and voice. The child-like look ends with their slit eyes, claws, wings, and oversized phallus which is neither child-like nor sweet. They can remain in a shadow like form when haunting or possessing individuals.
Greater demons use them to punish or possess creatures. They can displace souls and turn them into remnants trapped between worlds. They are also often used create the soul candles that are used as protection by demons when casting major spells in lieu of or in addition to a pentagram.
Shedim can hold up to 10 Aradan links though usually they destroy the bodies of the Aradan rather quickly and only hold them as spirits. To give an Aradan to a Shedim is considered a brutal punishment as Shedim take pleasure in torturing the souls they hold sway over. Shedim are universally barred from buying slaves in the demon realm city state markets; and can only get their hands on souls if a greater demon gives a soul or Aradan to them.
