Born an orphan in the mountains North of Gwydia. He spent much of his early years growing up with a human family, aware he was a dragon, but unaware of the society of his race.
When the mana died Robert, a young adult, was traveling on a Gwydian ship trade ship to Byzantium where he was hoping to see the dragon empire he had read about in books. He did not keep his dragon identity secret and became an advisor to the local Sultan. He found he did not fit into what was left of dragon society, and returned to life among the humans.
In Byzantium he fell in love with a human woman, and they had two children. He stayed with her until she died from old age. The heartbreak of loosing his love threw him into his first dreaming. He left Byzantium and traveled Europe and England spending most of the next 2 centuries as a merchant. He'd travel to a place set up a shop, and when the feeling took him he'd leave and restart some where else. He was soldier when he couldn't avoid being drafted - more often then not he'd leave before being drafted. For a time he was careful to move before he fell in love again. But through the ages he forgot even that, and eventually did start other relationships usually with ladies who had lost a husband, and had children to raise (unconsciously trying to recapture the feeling of having his own children).
In 1940 CE he was in Germany and had an antiquities story specializing in musical instruments. He got forced into the Jewish Ghettos (because he was a foreigner). In the spring of 1942 CE he was caught without a passport and imprisoned in Auschwitz. Upon arriving at the prison camp he was identified as having magical potential when he did not die in the gas chamber and singled out for magical experimentation.
In the fall of that year he awoke to his identity - his next 3 years were spent in a psychotic haze (wanting desperately to escape the experiments being done on him but being unable to shift or spell cast... due to lack of mana .
By the end of 1944 CE the Nazi's, trying to hide the existence of the death camps, in desperation the scientists try to either move or destroy the psi-mage prisoners in Auschwitz. Robert is left to be destroyed. They first gas the psi/mage chambers then light them on fire. Robert not only survives, but the deaths of the other prisoners give him enough magic to partially change form and break out along with a few other survivors.

He went after his captors, who had just past the front gate following the truck of psi-mages that were being moved, when he caught up to them he stopped the convoy and he grabbed the lead scientist - Ludwig Vicher. He dragged Vicher over to a now empty troop truck (from which the prisoners had run away). The soldiers following the escapees found him eating Vischer and shot him multiple times, leaving his body in the bushes.
Robert woke two weeks later. Human looking, healed, still half mad, and completely awake but unable to cast spells or change shape. He left the field hospital still in a fog and made his way west, not really thinking about where he was going. A British military force eventually came across him and he was transfered to a British Red Cross unit.
Ryan Stewart, a high ranking British Intel agent, found out about Robert's waking and goes to visit him. Ryan starts spending a lot of time with him, slowly finding out what was going on with the Nazi experiments. During this time Ryan also contacts Kerwin and gets him to go out and find the others who Robert identifies as having been experimented on. Robert regains enough of his sanity to participate as a witness in the Nuremberg trials.
He is also part of the group that brings forward the proposal of a UN security force to help enforce the UN laws signed by the member countries - the International Policing Organization - IPO commonly know as Interpol. Within a year Ryan leaves his service with Britain and starts work with interpol. Eventually Robert (now awake and much more sane) , and many of the others from the camp come to work for interpol (1950 CE).
When Ryan starts IS51 (000 AE) Robert is among the first group of operatives asked to join.
Over the next few years Robert takes over directing Canada and the US (until the Anti-psi laws were passed). He specifically does a lot of work trying to get psi/mage repressive regimes to change (and getting psi/mages out of these regimes). He also tends to deal with a lot of asleep or slowly awakening Fae.
He is the head of the main magical and psi training base, the Brazeau River base.
