Saryt came to the UN shortly after waking in 000 AE and offered his services to try to protect his Persian homeland and the many important magical artifacts and locations there. He becomes a director a year later.

He takes a special interest in Leta when she starts her training in 014 AE, and accepts her into one of his units in 015 AE where she works as a part of a magical support team. As she progresses in her learning he slowly becomes more and more of a mentor to her until she is reassigned to Unit 098 in 020 AE. When later asked by other directors why he had taken such interest in her training he has always been rather secretive of his motivations, saying only that they got a long.

There have been rumours from other IS51 members who've worked under him that he is angelic in nature. A question that has never been confirmed, and which he laughs off as absurd stating that he is simply a Fae of the light court, and they sometime are mistaken for higher powers. Since the area under his oversight has been overrun by Orientani, he has worked to maintain an underground network of spies and resistance fighters operating in the deserts and jungles of India and the Middle East, using his contacts in the Fae world to find doors and pocket dimensions in order to hide people with the intent of slowing smuggling them out to the free world.
