Older dragons are able to take different forms and are able to blend in with the societies around them.  This often affects their minds as they start taking on the traits of the form they most use. Those who are not able to change into their dragon form regularly can enter a state not unlike the dreaming where they forget what they are until a trauma wakes them.

They are very prone to the dreaming and reasonably high levels of mana are necessary to sustain or to simply wake them.
