Wyvern

Wyvern are a form of dragon created by dragons with the help of Angels as a warrior class to fight in the Ancient empire's wars. They lack the ability to change form and have two wings and two legs, but like bats they have no separate arms. They do, however, have a grasping talon on their wings and are quite dexterous with their feet using them to grasp and manipulate objects.

Wyvern are smart but significantly less magical then a dragon. They are not immortal like dragons, but like most Fae have exceptionally long lifespans.

They are also more aggressive the dragons and start training as warriors at a very young age. They are proud of their history as the soldiers of the dragon empires on the various worlds they are in. Wyverns are currently used as shock troops by the Orientani.

There are no wyverns in the current world of Caledon who did not pass through one of the recently open gates from a dragon dimension.
