Ithkari

Ithkari are one of the strangest races that is known in the various worlds. They are evolved from a marsupial race, from a desert world and are one of the only races that can live independently on the demon home world outside of the polar regions. They are highly magical and live independently of either demons or angels on Naphalus. Their home dimension is as technologically developed as Gaia is. Though it was thought their original communities were nomadic, their current communities are mostly settled, agrarian, and centered around the various oasis' on their world.
They have longer curved black claws evolved at one point for digging but now simply a trait of the race. Their eyes have a nictitating membrane to keep dust and sand out and the double slit and wild multicoloured features similar to a geckos. Their hair is very short and more fur like usually light coloured or striped.
They are also hermaphroditic though self sterile. Their breasts only developing if they become pregnant. They live in small family groups consisted of mated pairs with young. Mated pairs usually remain together until their children mature or longer.
Ithkari are cross dimensional traders and craftsmen. They have a main religion which may be related to an ancient Naphalian religion (The religion of the white lady). The Ithkari sects teach tolerance and love, and resemble many of the monotheistic human religions. Their view of magic is that it is a gift from god and must be used to do his will. Some more devout worshipers will allow themselves to be taken by demons or angels in order to spread the will of their God in Naphalus; so quite a number of Ithkari mages show up as Aradan attached to demonic houses. Many of them have the talent of self healing or are mages specialized in healing spells.
